Richard R. Wachter

Age 81 of Forest Lake. Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa & Brother. Richard was called home in the presence of his family on February 12, 2026.

Preceded in death by parents, Milfred & Hertha; nephew, Michael. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Carol; sons, Troy (Holly), Tyler (Janelle); grandchildren, Ivan, Mee Joo, Clara, Lauren, Cole; brother, Robert; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Richard loved hunting and fishing, and he was happiest outdoors or working with his hands. A natural tinkerer and backyard mechanic, he had a true gift for figuring things out and repairing what others thought couldn’t be fixed. He also enjoyed woodworking and above all else was dedicated to his family.

Richard’s family will celebrate his life with a private service.
