Age 92 of Stacy formerly of Minneapolis. Loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa passed away from pneumonia complications on January 8th. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mary Weinbender; son, Phil; son-in-law, Dale; grandsons, Tim parents, Joseph siblings, Bernadene, Loraine, Dolores, Kate, Jerry, & Claude. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Helen; children, Ron (Becky) Steffens, Dan Steffens, Cindy Raum, Patricia (Patrick) Zagaros; step-children, Kay (Jim) Fitzgerald, Trish (Henry) Votel, Susan (Gary Rankel) Henslin; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Richard was born in Minneapolis on November 23rd, 1929. He graduated from North High in 1947, and began his apprenticeship at Dunwoody in 1953. Richard proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. After the war, Richard started his own business Steffens Plumbing. He was an active volunteer at St. Austin’s church for many years. In 1982, Richard married Helen. After Richard retired, he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Richard was a devoted family man who lived an active lifestyle. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held Saturday January 15th, 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.   1. So sorry for the loss of a GREAT UNCLE. I remember uncle Dick from my earliest times at the shared cabin in Cold Spring, Birthday parties at the Queen Ave house, Christmas at Grandma Steffens and the Sydloski’s, To his birthday party at Bunker Hill Park. He has left a legacy and will be truly missed! Mike & Pam Steffens
