  1. On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Richard’s military service to our country.

  2. You asked fo stories involving Dick. Our Mom always used a picture of Dick (@ about 3 years) sitting in Mom’s Rocking Chair – while Don & I were running around – to explain that Dick was a bit more contemplative. Dick was always meticulous in his hobbies. I always envied his finished model aircraft. He later became involved in photography – and was stationed in Addis Ababa – where he promptly exhausted the PX supply of photo print paper. That year he visited Jerusalem during Holy Week -loaded down with 3 cameras. Later -when he showed the pictures to the family – and was asked what the photos were about – he answered – I don’t know. But he certainly got the right shots. And I’m sure – Marlene filled him. One day, He andI we’re talking about our boys – and he remarked that one of his was a bit short on ambition. The Macdonald’s check seemed OK. He showed the boy his paycheck – AND – that solved the ambition problem. MY SYMPATHY AND WELL-WISHES TO THE FAMILY

  3. He was a kind and loving man with a great sense of humor! I pray all your memories will keep him in your life forever! Paul and Mary Jo Lallas
