Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I’ll never forget when I was asked to sing her Happy Birthday at her 80th birthday party. To be honest it could have been 75. Phyllis always made me smile.

    • Steve and Priscilla Bishop,

To pick a singular memory is very difficult. I always enjoyed krub day at the Hanson’s. Phyllis would take most of the day to make these potato dumplings for her family. Floyd liked salt pork grease on his and Phyllis liked butter. The rest of us used bacon grease. It wasn’t health food. Rick, Brian, Paul and Todd competed to try and eat the most. Everybody won when she made them. It was a labor of Love! Thank you Phyllis!

  2. Our sincere condolences to all of you. Phyliss was a great lady- and you were all so very fortunate to have her for a mother and grandmother.

  3. “Phyllis Jean Hanson” will remain in our hearts forever. Such a sweet great grandma, grandma & mom. Love & Hugs Mike & Candy Dunne and Family

  4. I will always think of Phyllis as my “other Mother”. She babysat me when I was small, and lived across the street most of my childhood. She always was ready for spending time with others, visiting, out to eat, cards, Bible study & road trips (short or long). She was a people person and loved to have fun.
I remember we were dancing at my Daughters wedding, to Up town Funk by Bruno Mars. When the song went to “up town – funk you up, Phyllis kind of stopped dancing and looked at me with confusion…….I laughed and had to spell funk for her so she knew she wasn’t dancing to poor language. We both laughed & danced on.
I will miss her smile and her laugh, yet I am so excited for her to be back with Floyd again. God bless her and her family! Hopefully Phyllis, Floyd, and my Mom & Dad are playing cards together as I write this. I will always think of them and their friendship as beautiful gift.
    All my love,
    Tracey Bowman (Flermoen)
