Phyllis J. Westberg

Age 77 of Forest Lake, passed away unexpectedly due to a stroke at her winter home in Green Valley, Arizona on December 28, 2022. Phyllis was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 11, 1945 to Hildred and Roald Amundson. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1963. Married her high school sweetheart Ronald Westberg (Son of Harvey and Stella Westberg) in 1964. She worked at Honeywell for her entire career until she retired in 2000. Once retired, she became busier than when she worked by spending time with friends in Minnesota and Arizona, crafting, decorating, and traveling. She was an amazing mother, and friend that was always willing to help others. She amassed a shoe collection that could allow her to wear a different pair of adorable shoes every day for nearly a year. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and taking very good care of her dog. It was common for Phyllis to show up to an event with her dog in a stroller so the dog could be there too. Phyllis is survived by her children Connie Sim (Brian), Kevin Westberg (Denise Bohnen), grandchildren Shelby and Kyle Sim, Brother Rodney Amundson (Linda), Sister Bonnie Piehn, Aunt Audrey Hoeller, Niece Sarah Amundson, Nephews David Piehn, Jason (Ellen) Piehn, Eric (Jamie) Amundson, great nieces Lexie and Ella Amundson, great nephews Everett and Elliott Piehn and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron Westberg, special friend GF Hoffman, and other family members and friends. Phyllis will be missed by all that knew her. A celebration of life will be held at Roberts Family Funeral Home 555 Centennial Drive Southeast, Forest Lake, MN on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Visitation will begin at 1 pm with a brief service at 2 pm with short reception to follow.
