Michael "Mike" A. Holcombe

Age 65 of Spring Lake Park.

Loving Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Friend passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025.

Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Elaine; brothers, Beryl & Wayne; significant other, Tammy Christian; nephew, Jacob.

Survived by daughter, Jolene (Jeremy) Balfany; stepchildren, Deanna (Ken) Thomson, Danny (Yolonda) Smith, Ben Smith (Katie); grandchildren, Hunter & Lydia Balfany; siblings, Laurie (Tom) Gulbranson, Cheryl (Steve) Cummings; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

He had a big heart and a soft spot for animals, especially his beloved dog, Hannah. He supported the ASPCA monthly and was always known for his compassion toward every creature he met. Those who knew him best will remember his sense of humor — always making funny faces, cracking jokes, and giving everyone a nickname. He could also be stubborn, did things his own way, and made sure you knew it – and that is also what made him unapologetically himself.

He had a love for music and enjoyed singing along to his favorite songs along with playing his trusty air guitar. A dedicated machine mechanic at Conwed for over 25+ years, he took great pride in his work and his craft. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching westerns (he likely saw every episode of The Rifleman ever made), he also enjoyed lottery scratch offs, and collector coins.

In these last years, he deeply missed many of the loved ones who had gone before him, and while his absence leaves a deep void, we find comfort in knowing he’s now reunited with them — having the most amazing reunion on the other side of eternity.

Mike’s life will be celebrated with a ceremony at 5 PM Wednesday, October 29^th with a visitation beginning at 4 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.  Interment, Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Coon Rapids.
