Michael John Jones

Age 77 of Scandia. Passed away on August 7, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Calvin & Marjorie. Survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Deborah; their two sons, Joseph & Jonathan; sister, Pam; brother, Garry (Sharon); in-laws, Mrs. Virginia Frederick, Cathy (Rick) Arnfelt, Rodney (Marie) Frederick. Mike was born and raised in St. Paul where he attended Mechanic Arts High School. After graduation, Mike proudly joined the Marine Corps and was deployed twice to Vietnam. He was awarded two Purple Hearts during this time as well as several other military honors. The majority of Mike's post-military career was spent at 3M although he was happily retired at the time of his passing. His hobbies included cheering for Minnesota sports, observing the wildlife from his lakefront home, and watching old movies. Mike will be missed and fondly remembered by those who knew him. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Northwoods Humane Society located in Wyoming, MN or an animal shelter of donor's choice.
