Melissa Marie Butler, age 27 of Hugo, passed away on March 5, 2012. She can be remembered as a great friend to many people and for her magnificent smile! She will be deeply missed by her mother, Paula Romero and her husband, Caesar; her father, Leonard Butler and his fianc, Tanya Abbott; brothers, Ricky Romero and Josh; grandparents, Maxine Peterson, Gary Unger, Judy Butler and Ron Butler; great grandmother, Eleanor Butler; aunts; uncles; other relatives and many friends. A visitation to honor Melissa will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, March 9th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake. A Celebration of Melissas Life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 10th at Roberts Family Funeral Home in Forest Lake with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be held in the Sunrise Cemetery in Sunrise, Minnesota. Memorials preferred.

  1. I remember when we were meeting up at the house and we were both late. Turned out.. we both got pulled over at the exact same time. Oh how we laughed. I love you!

  2. I just learned of Melissa’s passing and my heart goes out to her family. Melissa cared for my husband at Cerenety Care Center and she was so gentle and compassionate with him. He has since passed away also but I truly will cherish the memories I have of Melissa. Her bright smile will be missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you…

Although I did not have the opportunity to get to know her very well as our paths didn’t often cross, she always impressed me with her good nature, curiosity and interest in learning, and of course her lovely smile.   15. Melissa and I had a “buddy system” in our third semester of the Nursing Program. We encouraged one another and supported each other when we felt we just couldn’t hold on any longer. She was my rock and my strength that got me through and I will never forget her. I will miss her dearly!

  25. Melissa i will remember u first as one of my best friends since the 7th grade. U were so fun and full of life and made people laugh and smile where ever u went. U were so kind and caring its no suprise that u had so many friends. I will also remember u as one of the loves of my life. I will never find someone quite as special as u. We went through alot of ups and downs together but u were always there for me no matter what. No one will ever know the bond we shared or the things we went through together. It was wonderful to have someone who understood to talk with. You will be greatly missed at work. EVERYONE always commented on your bubbly personality and bright smile.   32. Melissa, I don’t even know what to say! We had some wonderful times together at work (Cerenity Care Center) and outside of work. I remember going to Marketfest during break because we had to have Dippin’ Dots, or just walking around the block to enjoy the weather. You were a wonderful friend and had the most amazing smile that could brighten anyone’s day! You will be missed so much by so many! God has gained a beautiful angel
