To Mark’s Family. I am a second cousin to Mark. I, just recently heard of Mark’s death. The last I spoke with him was at his aunt Elfriede’s visitation. I enjoyed that few minutes I spent with him sharing stories of being brought up on the farms near Clements and Morgan…he on his father Edmunds, Granfather Henry’s farm, and me on my uncle Ivan Zamzow and grandfather Elmer’s farm. No doubt his compassion for horses was born on that good black earth on those farms started by great grand father Carl Zamzow. So very sorry for your loss. Ardis, recently, sent a card to us with a note stating Mark’s death. He reminded me a great deal of his father Edmund. May God keep you in his caring and loving arms during your bereavement.
With my household’s condolences. Jerry Johnson, Spirit Lake, Iowa

I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for all his family and friends. I worked with Mark years ago and remember his warmth, kindness, and good humor.
Lynn, I’m so saddened by your loss! Please know that I am sending thoughts of peace for you.
We foaled mares for Mark and his brother Joel for many years. Mark always made it a point to come right after the foal was born to see it. He loved the horses and the foals. He always had stories to tell when he visited us. Never a dull moment when Mark was around. We are definitely in shock to hear of his passing. Our sympathy goes out to his family.
Lynn – We will be keeping you and the girls in our thoughts and prayers. May you all find comfort in the happy memories you have of your loved one. Our deepest sympathy ~ Amber, Katie, and Laurie
Our deepest sympathy to you at this time. You will be in out thoughts and prayers.
I have known Mark since we were in nursery school at St Johns Lutheran in Morgan. We are two of the Z’s in the class from k-12. He has always been kind and funny and full of life and I will miss our conversations on FB over the many years. Sending prayers of comfort to all his family and friends.
Lynn, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family during this trying time. – Lino Custodial Staff(Duane and Scott)
Jeff and I are stunned and saddened. What a tragic loss. Mark was a funny, bright, intelligent class act who demonstrated graciousness, kindness and generosity in his actions and words. I remember him driving to our farm, dropping off a bottle of Makers Mark (all the way from KY), to congratulate and thank Jeff for his hard work on the successful agreement between CBY & Mdewakanton Sioux Tribe. This was on behalf of he and his brother Joel. The world has lost a wonderful person and heaven is all the more beautiful, because no doubt, he is there.
