Marion Juanita DeLuney

Marion Juanita DeLuney (Jones), 89, of Sunrise, MN, passed away on July 8, 2025 at Encore Memory Care in North Branch, MN after a long battle with Dementia.  Marion was born May 11, 1936 in Minneapolis. She attended and graduated from South High School.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; daughter, Theresa; daughter-in-law, Claudia. She is survived by her children, Michael, Ken (Sallie), Steve, Susan (Paul); grandchildren, Brian (Cherie), Amy, Samantha (Jason), Eric (Katie), Michael Joseph (Rebecca); great grandchildren, Tristan, Dante, Sofia, Elijah, Josiah, Kylee, Dominic, Jake, Lily.

Marion was an artist, seamstress and crafter. She took an Apparel Specialist Program, a Studio Art Course and Basic Drawing I & II, Batik and Tie Dying at the U of M. She had various jobs such as a housekeeper, order filler & assembly. But mostly, she was a stay-at-home mom, took care of Leo when he got ill and did sewing, crafting and painting. She loved her family and especially, her grandkids.  She enjoyed painting, drawing, and making wood crafts which she shared with her family. Marion made our clothes when we were young and used sewing as a craft as well reupholstering furniture and making pillows. Marion can be described as a very pleasant person who cared deeply for her family.

Marion’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11 AM Friday, July 25^th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 SW Centennial Dr., Forest Lake. A luncheon will follow the service.
