Marilyn Mendera

Age 78 of Forest Lake, died peacefully on October 2, 2020. Marilyn was born June 19,1942 to George and Rose (Ver) Kuban in Chicago,IL She married Joseph Mendera on Oct. 28, 1961. They lived in Riverside, IL until Joseph went into the army in 1962. Once he was discharged they moved to Brookfield, IL where they started their family. They then settled in Downers Grove,IL where their children grew up. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an amazing florist and in her spare time enjoyed reading. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph and Marilyn retired to Englewood, FL and Forest Lake, MN. Many years were spent traveling and enjoying the sun and fun together. Marilyn will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph of 59 years, her sister Dorothy (Kuban) Stoppenbach, her children Thomas (Debra) Mendera, Laura Soyring, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16th at Roberts Funeral Home from 3-5pm. Come share memories of Marilyn with us as we celebrate her.
