  1. MaeEtta how I’ve missed her since she left Wenzel townhomes . Living next door from 1994 to when Moved I think 2016. We had great times together , taking walks , having tea, Christmas time with MaeEtta & Ken we continued with MaeEtta . My memories are so big there isn’t room to put it all. I saw MaeEtta less having been with her in 2018 it was nice to text her ( for sometime she liked to text ) sending her cards letting her know I loved her . I’ll keep the memories forever for MaeEtta yiu were so special to me ( not to leave our Pete he too cared very much). Our deepest sympathy to all of the family the grandkids grew up before our eyes . Your a lively family you will not be forgotten . love, Judy & Pete

    • MaeEtta and Ken were friends almost from their beginnings as the loving team that they were. I met Ken shortly after his first job in advertising when he came to Minnesota from Iowa to join the Austin Daily Herald. We, my wife and I, became their early friends, as I had a few years before when his father joined the newspaper. I helped build their first house under the G.I. Bill, and served on a number of committees with them. When I needed an ad manager in my new newspaper purchase in Forest Lake, I asked Ken and MaeEtta to join me. They did–and we all prospered. Ken was on my small board of directors along with Howard Lestrud. They visited us in Texas when we wintered there. I was fortunate, if that is the term, to be in Minnesota when Ken passed and attended his funeral. Unfortunately, I will miss the celebratio0n of Mae Etta’s life, but my very best will be sent to their children all of whom I have known almost since their birth. The Jarvis family was incredible and one of our closest friends. May she rest in peace in the arms of her beloved Ken.

  2. MaeEtta was not just a next door neighbor she was my friend. . Baseball game with Ken&. MaeEtta – Christmas time homemade cookies MarEtta the best cook. Lemon meringue pie Pete so loved that pie , the popovers , there’s more . I’ve missed MaeEtta since her move but I stayed in contact , visiting her, cards & o yes texting . Forever missed.. MaeEtta loved her family so much she’s left a legacy for all of you . Our deepest sympathy . We will see you at Incarnation Lutheran Church . Sincerely Pete & Judy Hendricks

  3. Such a sweet and caring woman! She came to a baby shower for my twins given by her Wyoming neighbor Marcia Henderson 40 years ago!

  4. There are so many childhood memories with Mae Etta and Kristin. I’m pretty sure we ended up at their house as much as Kristin’s. We spent lots of time downstairs reading, playing games. We would go sledding down the neighbors hill and then stop by afterwards. It was fun helping Mae Etta serve her friends at dinner, wearing our aprons. Being polite and quiet were the hardest part. Making candy, especially the time we couldn’t go trick-or-treating on Halloween as there was a scare that someone was putting needles in the candy. My grandma lived on the east coast so I didn’t see her very often so it was special to have a Grandma that lived right by me. Thank you for sharing her Kristin. Kate

  5. Ken and MaeEtta we’re both so involved in our family. The kids too, forever friends. My sympathies and prayers to all of you! Such sincere, funny, loving people ❤️❤️❤️❤️
