Age 90 of Forest Lake. Loving Mom, Grandma & Sister passed away on December 16, 2018. Preceded in death by husband, Vernon; grandson, Lance; parents, Otto & Laura Jahnke; brothers, Orvin & Gilmore Jahnke. Survived by children, Brian (Linda), Brenda (Kevin) Hanus, Brent (Laurie); grandchildren, Amy, Ann, Abby, Colin, Connor; great granddaughter, Sydney; sister, Gladys Zeidler; brother, Donald Jahnke; nieces, nephews & friends.
LouAnn was born and raised in Parkers Prairie where she graduated High School. She married Vernon in 1954 and later resided in Forest Lake for 50 years where they raised their family on the farm. LouAnn enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and spending time with her grandkids.
Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday, December 26th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. A Celebration of LouAnn’s life 11 AM Thursday, December 27th with visitation one hour prior at New Life Church 6000 148th St N, Hugo. Interment, Scandinavian Cemetery.
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire husfeldt family at this time. I enjoyed seeing Lou Ann once a week at work she brought a smile to my face. She was one of a kind, very thoughtful and caring and grateful for everything. She would be next to me most of my shift offering to help as I did my work. During dinner she would thank the entire dining hall for joining her and thank the cooks for making the food. I will miss her sense of humor and seeing her light up when walking into her room to say hello. -Nurse Crystal

I am just thinking how lucky the kids were to have their Grandma be such a big chunk of their lives. I’m glad she is free from this life. Lance will surely show her the way. I’m sorry for your loss.
