Lori Motschenbacher
Lori passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a four year courageous battle with cancer on December 13, 2005. She fought her fight with bravery and determination, never complaining or thinking about herself but always thinking of others. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Vera, Ernest, Ethel Blanchard, Norman Helen Florhaug. Survived by loving husband Tom; children Kara and Kyle; her parents John Sonja Florhaug and Lois Emil Baufield; her in-laws Stan Shirley Motschenbacher; her sisters Sheila Florhaug (Jose Zepeda) and Debbie (Tim) Motschenbacher; her sisters and brother in-laws Terrace (Jeff) Evans, John (Kim) Motschenbacher, Anna (Kevin) Halvorson; 11 nieces and nephews; and many special friends and co-workers. Lori was born on Jan. 9, 1959 in Beausejour, Manitoba. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1977, Moorhead State University in 1981, and received her Masters from Bethel College in 1996. Lori taught elementary physical education with the Centennial School District for 24 years. A coach of varsity volleyball, track, basketball at both Forest Lake and Centennial, and Junior Olympic Volleyball, Lori loved sports. She was the founder of Centennial Variety Scholarship Fund. Lori was an inductee of the Forest Lake High School Hall of Fame. Another love of Loris was singing in many church choirs. Teaching, coaching, singing, or dancing Lori was dedicated but most of all Lori was dedicated to her family and friends whom she loved very much.
