  3. my uncle was a good man i can remeber the fishing trips if we werent catching anything he would tell us to stick our tounge out to the side and pretend to bite it before long we would be catching them left and right will love and miss him a lot

  4. Lloyd was good man with a vast wealth of knowledge and willing to share it with you if you had a question. Proud of his family and for good reason; the Herzogs have always been well liked. Lloyd would be the first person to step forward to help a neighbor or a friend out. He was a hard worker and rarely sat still. When I was a young kid, Lloyd started work very early in the morning and would be the first dad in the neighborhood to return home in the afternoon. He would often be greeted by one of the neighborhood kids that had a broken bicycle or maybe just needed an ear to listen. We all enjoyed it when he would kick a soccer ball so high that it seemed to go out of sight, barefoot of course. Lloyd never turned me down as a kid or an adult. He fixed my bicycle and three wheeler many times as a kid. And as an adult he wired the basement of my first home, and made cabinets and a workbench for my second. In the fall when hunting season came around Lloyd, along with neighbor Mark would process deer and make sausage for his neighbors and friends. We grew up and lived in the BEST neighborhood because he showed everbody what being a neighbor and friend is all about. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor and friend. If every neighborhood had a Lloyd, the world would be a much better place. Thanks Lloyd you will be greatly missed. Your neighbor from 182nd Ln

  5. We have known Lloyd for many years. We always looked forward to his visits to our store in Ham Lake where we would sit and catch up on life. I had the privilege of sampling his meat processing creations, each a delicious treat.
He will be missed by myself and my wife and everyone that has had the pleasure of crossing paths with this wonderful and caring man.
    Our Deepest sympathies,
    Gene and Norma Carey

  6. I was so sad to hear of Lloyd’s passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and a great friend to my step father. He was always so kind and both he and his wife have a heart of gold. Blessed that I knew Lloyd and what a great person he is.

  7. Words cannot describe what a blessing it was for me to have Lloyd’s neighbor Gary introduce me to Lloyd over 22 years ago! He was the most sincere, talented, lighthearted man that I have ever had the privilege to spend real quality time with. Between fishing trips to Grand Rapids on Bass lake or exchanging smoking of meat techniques or swapping stories about past experiences as well as current events Llyod always left a little part of his soul in your brain. He was an absolute blessing to be put on this earth and his passing leaves a huge hole in my heart. He was a pleasure to work with stringing wire, his knowledge, his humor and his tenacity. His kindness towards myself does not have a price tag on it because it was priceless. Ilook forward to hanging out with my friend again at the big hangout in the sky to have a beer and a bump of brandy with him. Thanks buddy for all that you did for myself and everybody, you will be greatly missed!
