Lillian R. Marsh

Lillian Ruth Marsh, our beloved Mom and Grandma and retired 3M employee, passed away February 28, 2012. Lillian is preceded in death by beloved husband, Robert; parents, Charles and Tilda Johnson; son-in-law, Bo Bottita; brothers, Charles, Gordon and Orlo. She is survived by children, Duane (Maureen) Marsh, Douglas (Cheryl) Marsh, Diane Marsh, Denise (Marty) Hanft; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marlene Johnson and Beverly Johnson; nieces and nephews; many loving relatives and friends. A private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be held to honor her life. Memorials preferred to Animal Humane Society.
Lil was my neighbor for 15 years and our dear friend an substitute mother for much longer. Benje and I have nothing but loving memeories of her. We loved her dry humor,her devotion to her dog Mindy, her calm sensibility when we needed her support. We will miss our dear friend, as we have since she returned to Minnesota. The occasional pot roast dinner stands out in my mind too. God speed Lil, and send our love to Bob too.
