Leonard E. Skogland
November 14, 1929 ~ February 16, 2019
Age 89 of Scandia.
Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa passed away on February 16, 2019.
Preceded in death by siblings, Gerald, Carol Halvorson. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Inga; children, Teresa (Mike) Sheely; Tim; grandchildren, Lynsay Hanson, Kelly Johnson, Billy Kokaisel; great grandchildren, Kasey, Saddie, Skyelar, Kydene, Kylene, Shelby.
Leonard was a proud Veteran serving in the US Navy and as a Master Sergeant in the Army Reserve. He also retired from Minneapolis Police and played trumpet in the police band.
A Celebration of Leonard’s life 11 AM Saturday, February 23rd with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, Forest Lake. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Lenny was a great guy and a well respected police officer. It was my pleasure and honor to have worked with him. Michael Grimshaw, MPD, Retired.
