Kathleen "Kathy" Rosemary Gieseke (Guderian)

kathleen

March 29, 1959 ~ April 23, 2025

Our extremely loved and cherished Mother (Mother-in-law), Gram, Gigi, Sister, and Friend, concluded her earthly journey at the age of 66. Sunrise: March 29th, 1959 - Sunset: April 23rd, 2025. Kathy was born to James (Jim) and Elizabeth (Betty) Gieseke and was the oldest daughter of six children (Michael, Patrick, Kathleen, James, John and Janie). Kathy spent her early years in Crystal. She attended St. Raphaels Cathloic School until her senior high years where she attended E.J. Cooper High. She was a beloved member of the Becker community at the time of her passing. Kathy was an amazing and devoted mother to her three children, Samantha, Nathan, and Brandon (and his wife Cassandra(Cassie)), whom she shared with Gregory (Greg) Almsted, a close and trusted nearly lifelong friend. She was married to Jeff Guderian and divorced years later, having a step-daughter Danielle. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished above all else. She was deeply involved in the daily lives of her fourteen grandchildren: Paige (and her boyfriend Jordan, and their son Jakotah), Hunter, Jordyn, Kaleigh, TayMarkus, Zamariana, Emma, Logan, Izabela, Lucian, Brandon Jr., Janayah, Nevaeh, and Josiah. The arrival of her great-grandson, Jakotah, brought her immense joy. Family was the cornerstone of Kathy’s life, and she treasured every moment spent with them, no matter the occasion. An avid lover of the outdoors, Kathy found peace and joy in her garden and crafts. Her Irish heritage was a significant part of her identity, and she delighted in sharing stories of her family both in Ireland and Minnesota. St. Patrick's Day held a special place in her heart, and a lifelong dream of hers was to visit Ireland. Her canine companions were also a vital part of her life. Her fur babies Jack & Jill will miss her greatly. Kathy had a creative spirit and enjoyed hand-making gifts and trinkets for those she held dear. Her children and grandchildren describe and will always remember her as thoughtful, selfless, kind, loyal, loving, dedicated, funny, and endearingly stubborn. She was a free spirit with a strong will and a determined "never give up" mindset, truly an "Irish firecracker." She is survived by her children Samantha, Nathan, and Brandon (and his wife Cassandra); her grandchildren Paige (and her boyfriend Jordan), Hunter, Jordyn, Kaleigh, TayMarkus, Zamariana, Emma, Logan, Izabela, Lucian, Brandon Jr., Janayah, Nevaeh, and Josiah; her great-grandchild Jakotah; her dear friend Greg; her siblings, Patrick, James (Jimbo), Janie (and her husband Hugh Vail), and John (Jack) (and his wife Cheri Gieseke); her brother Michael's wife, Susan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother Michael recently, her sisters-in-law Kimberly and Shari Gieseke, her former husband and dear friend Jeff Guderian, and her beloved dogs, General and Daisy. Surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, Brandon’s wife, her children's father and close friend Gregory, Sara (Samantha's lifelong best friend and Emma and Logan's Mom), her great-grandson, siblings, and close friends who were like family, Kathy peacefully passed away. Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. She will be more than missed; she will be forever cherished. A celebration of Kathy's life will be 10 AM - 2 PM Saturday, May 31st with a time of sharing at 12 NOON at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
