Age 86 of Forest Lake.
Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa & Brother passed away on July 7, 2018. John is preceded in death by siblings, Dale, JoAnn Peterson. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy; children, Ron (Connie), Carol (Patrick) Breitbach, Jim (Merri); grandchildren, Katie, Cassie, Abbie, Maggie, Jack, Zach, Lexie; sister, Laurie Hastings; brother-in-law, Don Peterson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Visitation 5-8 PM Monday, July 9th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Dr., Forest Lake. A Celebration of John’s Life 11 AM Tuesday, July 10th with visitation beginning one hour prior at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 N Shore Dr., Forest Lake. Memorials preferred to family or Faith Lutheran Church.

“Dad”…I sure will miss you. I’ll miss your calls asking me to fix your computer or when you can’t get on to Netflix. I will miss making you your favorite treats – you loved anything blueberry. I will miss having “croopers” with you and “Mom”. I will miss our chats and I will miss our spats (we both had stubborn tendencies). But above all, I’m so grateful that I had you as my father-in-law. I promise to love your son forever and keep striving to be the best mom I can to your grandchildren. I know you’re having a blast in heaven with your family and friends that went up there before you. RIP John Westlund! ❤️🙏❤️
Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you Nancy, and your Family…now and in the Days ahead. We will miss our Dear neighbor John…he was always so pleasant to visit with and had the best smile ever. We are so sorry for your loss and please know that we are here for you if you ever need anything…thats what neighbors are for.
