Joan L. Mansk

Age 93 formerly of Minnetrista & Marcell. Loving Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024. Preceded in death by husband, Duane; father, Rev. Hugo Goetz; mother, Louisa Wagner. Survived by children, Kimberly (Douglas) Rau, Ted (Laura), Stuart (Carrie); grandchildren, Benjamin (Kate), Anna (Tony), Heather (Adam), Ashley (Christopher), Tiffany, Andrew (Dana), Peter; great-grandchildren, Avery, Logan, Evelyn, Beatrix, Lucy, Zdenek; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. All her life Joan enjoyed going to and being in church. Being with her family also made her happy, playing music, games and cards with them, enjoying their humor, how Duane could make her laugh. She was grateful to have been with her Aunt Louise and with her father in their last years. She appreciated all the time Duane gave her while she was studying for her CPS exam, and for the countless times she was involved in organ and church work, because without his support, those things would have been difficult to accomplish. Funeral service 11 AM Friday, April 12th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 807 MN-97, Forest Lake. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Minnetrista. Memorials preferred to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Messiah Lutheran Church.
