Age 59 of Lino Lakes. Jill passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2025 after her courageous battle with metastatic cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Donald & Marlys Peterson; father-in-law, Gary. Survived by loving husband of 29 years, Daniel; children, Drew, Anna, Samantha; grandchild, Rhode; brothers, Tedd (Jolene) Peterson, Dan Peterson (Char Parziale); mother-in-law, Linda; sister-in-law, Lynn (Mike) Campbell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Jill was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. She spent her childhood years growing up in Lauderdale, finding her way home to Lino Lakes, where she raised her family. Jill had an unimaginable impact on everyone she met. She was truly one of one, it didn't matter if you knew her for 25 minutes or 25 years, her love made you feel equally cherished. Her warmth and genuine care for others left a lasting impression. To know Jill was to be deeply loved and cared for by her; she led her life with intention, making time for every single person who crossed her path. She would want to be remembered for her boundless heart, selflessness, and unwavering generosity, which touched countless lives in ways words could never fully capture. Jill also shared a truly special bond with her beloved dog, Kali, who never left her side. Kali offered unconditional loyalty and companionship that was a testament to their deep connection. Jill's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she cherished her Sunday tradition of watching Eagle Brook services. Her favorite saying, "#Believe," was a reflection of her hopeful spirit. Above all, Jill took immense pride in the family she and Dan built together. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her legacy of love and strength will continue to shine through them. Jill’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11 AM Friday, January 24th with a visitation beginning at 9 AM at Eagle Brook Church – Lino Lakes Campus, 7775 20th Ave N, Lino Lakes. The service can be viewed here. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.

Guestbook

  1. Jill is one of the best people I have met on earth – a true angel here – and I know she will be the most beautiful angel in heaven watching down on her family she loved so dearly.

I will truly miss her love, hugs, and inspiration she had for one every time you came in contact with her. I will ALWAYS #Believe because she taught me how to.

But also I will always picture her riding around her in golf cart, watching over all us racers, protecting us, and cheering us on from heaven – just like she did on earth. I find comfort in the fact she will do that without pain.

Dan, Anna, Drew, Samantha, Linda, Lynn, Mike, Jordan, and Katelyn as well as the rest of Jill’s family and friends – my heart and prayers are with you through these difficult days and months ahead. You are so loved and know anything you might need will be there from the team of racers that will stand behind you – but they might have to fight off my team to help first <3

    All my love

  2. We are so sorry that this day has come and that such a vibrant, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend has left us. I know we will all miss the caring, joy, happiness and love that she spread every day but Jill’s spirit will always be with you. Her legacy is her love for her family and strength and caring qualities that she instilled in her children. As time goes on I hope you will all recognize her in each other. May God bless you all.
Love always, Joe and Michelle Dunckel
