Jeff "J.G" Garvey

Age 50, passed away in his dream home on Coon Lake while overlooking the lake on October 24, 2025.

Preceded in death by father, Kevin. Survived by loving wife, Phara; daughter, Meredith; step-children, William Klingensmith, Lauren Klingensmith; mother, Gwen; sisters, Jen (Steve) Perillo, Kim (Matt Brown); nephews, Jared Perillo, Brenden Perillo, Gavin Garvey-McCloskey; other family members and many dear friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff, who left us far too soon after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed on 7/25/25 and passed on 10/24/25.

Jeff was a man who worked hard and played harder. His dedication to his career was matched only by the joy he found in his work family, whose camaraderie he cherished deeply. Yet, nothing brought him more peace than returning each day to his beloved lake home—a dream he (& some Angels) made real and a sanctuary he adored.

A loyal friend, a great dad, devoted family member, best partner,  and the kind of person who could fix anything and do everything, Jeff filled every moment with energy, laughter, and love. Whether he was boating, side-by-siding, or simply soaking in the serenity of lake life, Jeff embraced each day with enthusiasm and gratitude.

He always said he wanted to celebrate his 50th birthday at his own lake home—and he nailed it. That milestone, surrounded by those he loved, was a testament to a life lived fully and on his own terms. Birthday + Wedding made for the most perfect/beautiful day. One many of us will never forget.

Though we wish we had more time to enjoy those dreams with him, we find comfort in knowing Jeff passed with his heart full and his dreams fulfilled. His legacy lives on in the memories we made—moments that, at the time, felt ordinary but now shine as extraordinary gifts.

Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy he brought, the laughs he gave,  the love he gave, and the life he lived with purpose.  Rest in peace to our Jeffrey.

Jeff’s life will be celebrated with a gathering from 3-7 PM Friday, November 14^th with a time of sharing & toast at 6 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
