Age 66 of Wyoming. Passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2025.
Preceded in death by father, George Podratz; mother, Susan Post. Survived by loving wife, Anita; daughter, Amy, step-daughters, Nicole Powers, Stephanie (Travis) Steuck; many grandchildren; siblings, Lori (Doug) Earnest, Mike, Dave; nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. Jay was an avid outdoorsman, he especially loved fishing & snowmobiling. He was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan as well as a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
Jay’s life will be celebrated at a later date, information to follow.

Sending so much love, prayers and strength to Anita and our entire family during this incredibly difficult time. The void he leaves behind is immeasurable. Rest in peace, Uncle Jay. You will be missed more than words can say. 🤍

Gonna miss you brother. I know you’re at peace now. I know you can’t to visit me in Vegas the day you left us. Did you have to knock that thing off the wall twice, and break it. Hey. It’s cool. I’m glad you did.
I worked with Jay for thirty years and always enjoyed being around him. He had a great sense of humor and he will be missed
We want to offer our condolences and want to let the family know that we have prayed for them and for Jay. The situation impacted our lives deeply.
Thank you so much for being being there. That is extremely comforting for my mom (his wife )and us all knowing he didn’t suffer. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! God bless you
