Age 46 of Brooklyn Park.
Loving Mom, Daughter, Sister Aunt passed away surrounded by family on May 3, 2023. Preceded in death by father, Mark Swanson; brother, Matthew Swanson; Aunt, Donna (Doug) Landry; uncle, Greg Olson.
Survived by sons, Jacob & Del Swanson; mother, Barbara (Darrin Johansen) Kelly; siblings, Erik (Jennifer) Swanson, Kelly (Robert) Majkozak.
Jamie was kind, generous and had a wonderful spirit about her. She was also selfless, artistic and will be deeply missed.
The life of Jamie Swanson will be celebrated with a Sendoff at 7 PM Friday, June 2nd with a visitation beginning at 6 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Jamie’s celebration will continue with a reception and fireworks following the service.
Jamie and I were living together in an apartment in Northeast Minneapolis one Thanksgiving, we wanted to host our friends, but without a large table, we decided to do our gathering, bohemian style and in the living room on the floor. We put out pillows and candles, and created a picnic area in the middle of the living room. We decided it would be more fun to dress up in 50s housewife dresses and for the day we changed our names to Pearl( Me) and Zella (Jamie). I have to say she was an amazing friend. I loved Jamie from the first time we met. We hadn’t seen each other in quite so many years. But I continuously reached out to her to let her know that I was thinking of her and that she was in my heart. I will miss you always Jamie!
