I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. Death is something that humans were never meant to experience, the pain that we experience when we lose a loved one is something that is simply unnatural. Psalms 37:29 says 29 “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.” God’s original purpose for humankind was to live forever in a paradise earth with no sickness or death. An “abundance of peace” as psalms 37:10 brings out. Though the world we love in is horrible and we experience pain on a daily basis there is some good news, the bible promises something truly amazing at revelation 21:4 it says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” So death, sickness, pain and every kind of sorrow will be wiped out but what about those who have already died? John 5:28,29 says of those ones “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” So these ones will be resurrected to an earth filled with peace. I met Irene through my sister in-law, Denise. I remember when I first met her I talked to her about working with students as a paraprofessional and I asked her advice about getting that type of job. Whenever I met her later on she would always ask me what kind of work I was doing and if I was working with students. She was always very kind to take an interest in me. She was a wonderful lady.
I did not know Irene personally, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your family. At times like this,I have personally found Jesus Christ’s words at John 5:28,29 to be truly comforting. There he promised that “the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…to a resurrection of life.” I look forward to the time when I can see my loved ones again so much. Feel free to contact me at the attached email address and again I’m so sorry for your loss.
My Aunt Irene “tried” to teach me many things. I always adored her and still remember looking at her beautiful clothes and shoes and purses (when she worked in New Richmond as a young woman) and I could not wait to grow up too. Of her last years I remember her beautiful smile and incredible eyes that always lit up when she saw her grand children or Curt, Brenda or Gary and remember her throwing kisses to her handsome hubby. She did indeed make the world a better place. Rita
I remember going to Maplewood Mall and seeing her at the Swiss Pretzel and saying hi. She always was so gracious and pleasant to talk to. She will certainly be missed. Prayers and comfort to the family from the One who gives abundantly more than we can ever even ask…..
I remember running into her at the pretzel place and catching up! God bless…
