Stretch was such a Great Guy and such a Great Friend! He really cared about people and anything going on in their Lives. Even in his daily struggle minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day to stay alive. If He knew you were down about something, he would Always try to get a smile a laugh or say something positive or encouraging. As I live in Virginia and haven’t been back to visit friends and family since October 2017. Stretch was one of the last people I said goodbye to. We kept in touch. He knew I was struggling out here in Virginia, and He did the same thing. He put his suffering aside and made sure we had a laugh or three, and gave me encouragement, cheered me up. If you need a definition of a true friend, Stretch was it!!! Stretch, You didn’t get to ride your Harley to Alaska or drive your Old Truck, but I know Your Riding it in Heaven. When I get there you can give me a ride! I Will Miss You My Friend!!! Always!!!
I was deeply saddened, to hear of the passing of my old friend Stretch. He was always fun to be around! You will be missed!! My prayers go out to his family & friends.
Stretch and I were more than friends…we were brothers…we met in Anchorage Alaska in November 1982…I remember Easter Sunday 1983…partying between The Indian House…Bird House…and The Bore Tide on the Seward HWY…went and saw Jefferson Starship in the Sullivan Arena…the 1st major concert that happened there after opening…spent a pretty “memoriable” MemorialDay Weekend in Homer…Stretch was always quick with a joke…and was always ready to help anybody…we restored a few cars and trucks together….he will be greatly missed…RIP Brother
