Gladys D. Hervig (Steinmetz)

Age 91 of Forest Lake, formerly of Maplewood, MN & Austin, TX Loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister, & Aunt, passed away on January 11, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, Art & Erma (Rihn) Steinmetz; niece, Lynette Emanuel. Survived by husband, Harold Hervig, Jr.; children, Cindy Hervig, Bob (Sue) Hervig, Laurie (Mike) Saniti, Ron Hervig; grandchildren, Savannah Hervig, Alexandra Hervig, Hailey Saniti, Jennifer (Saniti) Nagorski, Katy (Saniti) DeMarais, Mike Saniti; many great-grandchildren: sister, Geneva Emanuel; nieces, Jennifer Holevatz, Colette Emanuel. Gladys was born and raised on a farm in Chippewa Falls, WI. In 1956 she married Harold Hervig and they then moved to Maplewood, MN and raised their family. In 1989 Harold's job with 3M brought them to Austin, TX where they would live until 2016 when they returned to Forest Lake. Gladys loved taking family trips, telling stories, and relaxing at the family cabin on Forest Lake. She was proud of her 68 years of marriage with Harold and very much loved her family and friends. A celebration of Gladys’ life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 22 with a visitation beginning at 10 AM and a luncheon to follow at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 N. Shore Dr., Forest Lake.
