Guestbook

  1. Uncle Butch was witty, very smart, so helpful, and the spitting image of Grandpa Burg. I remember when he helped me move my Mom, his big sister, Shirley out of her house about 11 years ago. He was strong as an ox and wouldn’t let me help him carry the heavy stuff. I loved to hear him tell stories and being around him was like having Grandpa Burg back. Gosh they had similar mannerisms, laughed the same, always teasing, and always willing to help you. Uncle Butch, you will be missed. May you rest in peace. I love you.

  2. On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Fred’s military service to our country in the Marine Corps.

  3. I remember when I first met Butch. He had lunch with my mom at Carpenters where I worked in Hugo. They use to date when they were 15 yrs old. I remember telling my mom to stay with dad, little did I know that later down the road he would be such an important person in my life. Several years after my dad passed they reconnected. I will always be grateful for how happy he made her. I spent a lot of time in Mora with my mom, butch and my girls. We use to get so mad at him playing WIii. He would sit in that blue recliner and throw one strike after another and and just laugh. It got to the point were we all hoped he missed lol. We had so much fun spending weekends at the house. So many nights drinking and talking on the deck. I was so fortunate to have him in my life. My girls were so lucky to have him as a grandpa. I loved how he always read these guess and answer books to them while they were crawled up on his lap. I’ll miss the teasing that he always did. My heart breaks for our loss. He will be forever loved and missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
