Survived by daughters, Chloe, Tessa, Shelby; soulmate, Alisha Lea; parents, Richard siblings, Missy (Brant) Miles, Kyle; father & mother-in-law, Robert & Nanette Bowman; sisters-in-law, Danielle Lepper, Lee Lepper, Jenni (Kevin) Choate; nieces, Julia Miles, Isabella Miles, Izabella Lepper, Alexia Hesse, Carson Quast, Elliot Warneke, McKenna Hinkel; aunts, uncles, cousins & many lifelong friends. Eric loved sports, as a kid he enjoyed playing baseball with his dad coaching him. Hockey was a favorite of his to watch, it didn’t matter if it was the Wild or the Gophers, he loved watching it all. He also liked watching NASCAR. Traveling was another lifelong passion of Eric’s. As a kid he’d stay awake in the car on long road trips reading. As an adult his favorite and most frequent place to travel was the North Shore. He loved going on hiking adventures and being outside in nature. Most importantly Eric was a family man. He loved being with his family and was a devoted father; he’d do anything for his daughters. Everyone absolutely loved being around him. A gathering to honor Eric’s life 1-4 PM, Saturday, September 17th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Memorials preferred to the family.

  1. Eric was an incredible friend and father. Eric and Don played on sports teams together going back to elementary school. They were very close through high school and Eric stood up for us at our wedding 20 years ago. We would double date to stay in touch and then came kids and birthday parties at the bowling alley or trampoline park. He was an amazing dad and loyal friend. He will be missed dearly.

  2. My heartfelt condolences to Eric’s family. I have many fond memories of him hanging out with Jake and of coaching him in Jr. High.

  3. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss… Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  4. To Eric’s Family… Eric holds so many special memorys in my heart from the simplest of times… Baseball & riding Bikes with The Goof squad with Midelstad – Gagner – Lunzer – Miller – Paulson to name a few… Living basically on the lake but would never get his ears wet 🙂 The Dogs of Death in the pen you would have to pass to go i to the house on North Shore Trail… Went from Bikes to cars and we know longer called him Eric.. It was always Easy.. Easy E…. My Heart truly hearts and even though so many years and other memorys have passed. The ones with Eric are still saved in Vivid Color…
    Much Love,
    Erik Mortimer
