Diane L. Mailand

Age 73 of Centuria, WI. Loving and devoted Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister & Best Friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 15, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, John Chichila, Bernice (Harvey) Hanson; grandson, Dylan Haines; nephew, Scott Knapp; great-nephew, Hunter Bell. Survived by loving husband of 53 years, Jim; children, Kristine, James; granddaughter, Emily; siblings, Johnny Chichila, Carol (David) Knapp, Dave (Val) Chichila, Dean (Renee) Hanson, Diane DePover; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Diane fiercely loved her family and absolutely adored her dogs, Joey and Nikki and every single one before them. She enjoyed feeling the sun on her face, putzing in the garden, tending to her flowers and fishing, especially bass fishing. She loved feeding the deer and the birds, spending time with her family and she absolutely treasured any time she got to spend with her granddaughter. She also loved cooking a good meal, while her husband made a nice fire to watch the Vikings game. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Thursday, October 26th from 4 - 7 PM, with a short time of sharing at 6 PM, at Roberts Family Funeral Home in Forest Lake.
