Age 76 of Forest Lake. Loving Brother, Uncle & Friend, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on December 23, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Leo & Bernice; many uncles & aunts. Survived by brothers, Lee (Emily), Ed (Mary), Jerry; special friend, Julie; many nieces & nephews. Denny was raised in Frogtown and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in 1965. He worked as a draftsman at American Hoist & Derrick, AmClyde, & National Oilwell Varco for 40 years. Denny enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, bowling, hunting & fishing. He lived in the Forest Lake area for many years. If you drove by Denny’s Forest Lake house, you’d receive a wave without fail. A celebration of Denny’s life 11 AM -1 PM Thursday, January 11th with a time of sharing at 12 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice.

  1. I worked with Denny at AmClyde for 30 years. He always made me laugh. He always called me by my maiden name “Johnson” never Carol. I always called him Grubs. He was one of the good ones. Rest in Peace Grubs

  2. Denny has been our neighbor for over 25 years, in that time he became a great friend. He was the most considerate and caring man, always ready to help out a friend or a neighbor in need. His presence and spirit will be greatly missed by all.

Denny was the first person we met when we moved to the neighborhood 25 years ago he welcome us and became a dear friend to our family, from marriages, graduations to the birth of all our grandchildren who loved to go over and swim or paddle boat off his dock I will miss his wave and a hey kiddo as I saw him and Don has lost a good friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand or come over and supervise our cook outs . Heres to you Denny you are a one of kind guy who will be so very missed ❤️

  4. What can you say about Denny, but he was an amazing guy anytime you came home and he was outside he always greeted you with how you doing kiddo, or hey kiddo. He was the first person to lend a hand in the neighborhood when help was needed. You will certainly be missed Denny.

  5. What are we going to do now?
    Who is going to wave us off to work or welcome us home with a smile and a wave.. Denny was so loved.. So heart breaking..
