Dean R. Wright

At the age of 90, Dean R. Wright of Forest Lake passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Gladys, and four siblings, Dean is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Azalea, his sons Raymond (Karleen), John (Kathy), and Robert (Joan), as well as his grandchildren - Kaitlyn, Tyler, Amber, Sarah (Sylvan), Shawn, Wylie, and Madison. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Ryder and Aksel, and is remembered fondly by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dean's childhood was spent on the family farm, where he learned the value of hard work. Following high school, he dedicated himself to service in the Army and then embarked upon a 40+ year career in the printing industry. His work ethic was unwavering, as he operated heavy equipment and dedicated most of his career to working rotating shifts to provide for his family. Beyond his professional life, Dean cherished meaningful connections with people, thriving on engaging conversations and the camaraderie of deer camp. His love for hunting and fishing was fueled by the joy of spending time with his sons, friends, and grandchildren. An avid reader, he found solace in the tranquility it provided and the opportunity to expand his knowledge. A celebration of Dean's life will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, October 6th, with visitation beginning at 12 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
