David F. DeVoto
August 17, 1932 ~ September 1, 2013
David Florian DeVoto, age 81 of Linwood and formerly of Minneapolis died at his home on September 1, 2013. David is survived by his wife, Kathy DeVoto; sons, David DeVoto, Jr., Chris DeVoto, and Nick DeVoto; granddaughter, Emma DeVoto; and brother, Ben DeVoto. David is the retired City Forester for Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and is a proudly serviced in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. Private family graveside services will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
I’m going to miss you so much Grandpa you taught me so many things that I will use the rest of my life. I love you so very much and you will always be in my heart. I’ll always remember everything you have done for me, all the little walks when I was little through the woods, you were the first person to show me what a walking stick bug looked like, you got to show me so many of my first critters in those woods. I miss you so much right now, I wish I could have been around more in the past couple of years but you knew I loved you and you knew that I would do great things, I love you so much Grandpa, so so much. You will never be forgotten, I love you.
