David C. Jacobson

David Charles ‘Dave’ Jacobson, of Forest Lake, passed away on June 11, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society – Stillwater. He was 69 years old.
A visitation will take place from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the White Bear Lake American Legion (2210 3rd St, White Bear Lake, MN 55110) with inurnment at Fort Snelling at 1:30PM.
David was born on December 10, 1951 in Stillwater, MN to Ralph and Doris (Elmstrom) Jacobson. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1969. He entered the US Army, as a Military Police Officer, in 1972 where he earned a Good Conduct Medal and was an M16 expert and was then honorably discharged. During his time in the service, Dave patrolled the Berlin Wall while stationed in Germany. Dave spent over 20 years as a Corrections Officer and 14 years at Llewellyn Publishing. On July 2nd, 2005, Dave married Linda Trost.
Dave was always busy, whether it was tinkering in the yard or around the house, there was always a project going on. Linda and Dave enjoyed fishing and spent many nights together at home. He liked watching war movies but would put those aside to watch Gone with the Wind and other romantic comedies with Linda. Jimmy Buffet was Dave’s absolute favorite and he even belonged to the Jimmy Buffet Club.
Dave is survived by his wife, Linda; siblings, Rick (Mary Anne) Jacobson, Sandy (Duran) Tennant, Tom (Lonna) Jacobson and Pete (Becky Campeau) Jacobson; stepdaughters, Darlene (fiancé Raddy) Zemke and Sherri Dunham; step-grandchildren, Jasmine, Josephine and Grand; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Doris; brother, Michael; and nephew, Christopher.
