Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My deepest condolences to Dan’s family, may he rest in peace.
Dan gave a kid from South Dakota a shot just because I was from South Dakota. He knew the work ethic of Dakota kids. Working for Thompson Lumber in the mid to late ’80s are some of the best memories I have of that era. Dan composed a team of estimators and worked them as a well oiled machine. Being I was a long way from home, Dan was not only my boss, but a mentor. He always took the time to listen to problems, although he was critical of mistakes, he would help you though them. Thank-you for sharing your life with me.

  2. I miss you everyday and think about you. I will never forget all of the things you have taught me that have brought me to be the person that I am today and you will forever shine in my heart.I can only hope that the things you have taught me I can pass on to the people around me and to my children and grandchildren. I feel like it was yesterday that we were talking together and visiting everyday but now in a week, you will have been gone for a year. Even though we have been apart I still feel very close, and no amount of time will ever change that. I wish I still had you to help guide me through my days, but I can still feel you with me every second of my days. I cherish every memory and moment that we have together and will hold them close to me forever. I love you and will never stop thinking about you. There will forever be the a spot in my heart that brings me back to the special times we have had together.

  3. On behalf of American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Daniel’s service to the nation in the Navy. Our condolences to you.

  4. All the girls in High School in Devils Lake N.D., Had to go to the Red Owl Grocery Store and go to the produce dept and see the new guy they hired. and they came in droves, then his brother(MELVIN) made an appearance and we went on a blind date with Dan.
