Dale L. Hughes

June 4, 1934 ~ November 19, 2020
Age 86 of Wyoming. Passed away peacefully on November 19, 2020. Dale celebrated 48 years of sobriety. He was an avid bird hunter and had a great love for fishing. He loved camping and travelling the United States with his wife and family. Dale was a lifetime member of the Good Samaritan Camping club, and became Minnesota state director for 8 wonder years. His favorite of all the places they had been and seen was Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. He always said, “don’t pass a sign and say we will see it on the way back, just pull in and see it now because you won’t on the way back.” He will be remembered as a very loving, giving, caring and kind person with the greatest sense of humor.
Preceded in death by wife, Judith; son, Michael; son-in-law, Scott; granddaughter, Jaymi; parents, Herbert & Eleanor; mother & father-in-law, Phillip & Dorothy Hultkrans; siblings, Lucille Waldoch, Ardel Rehbein, Orville, Vernon, Arnold, Harry and Earl Hughes. Survived by children, children, James ( Robin), Kristie, Suzanne ( Nick); grandchildren, Jessi (Jeremy), Joshua, Kelly (Ed), Kassy, Kelsey (Matt), ShaVaughan (Blake), Tank (Cassie); great-grandchildren, Nathan (Michelle) Cece, Chase, Logan, Cory, Kayla, Sophia, Violet; great-great-grandchildren, Braylyn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and dear friend Anna.
A celebration of Dale’s life 1 PM Friday, June 4th with visitation beginning one hour prior at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery, Lino Lakes. Memorials and cards sent to Roberts Family Funeral Home.

Your family is in our thoughts. He was a great man. I enjoyed the times I spent around him. I wish for peace in your minds and healing of your hearts.
We will miss Dale very much. We belonged to the Skeeters camping club with him and Judy. We played bingo at the VFW with them too. He always had a smile and hug waiting for you. Rest easy Dale.
