Dale G. DuPaul

August 25, 1938 ~ January 10, 2022
Age 83 of Forest Lake.
Loving husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved to do, maintaining the landscape of his home while wintering in Arizona on January 10, 2022.
Preceded in death by parents, Francis & Altha, brother, Gerald and sister, Janice DuPaul.
Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Dolores, children Cindy (Robert) Soler, Pam (Larry) Himebaugh, Janelle (Kevin) Winkler, Shane (Stephanie) and Lance (Kristin) DuPaul. 9 grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda (Ian), Christopher (Jamie), Adam, Dane, Seth, Jill, Katie, Jack and 6 great-grandchildren.
Dale grew up in Minot, ND and graduated from Minot High School. He met his future wife when they were seniors in high school and married in December of 1958. Dale worked at Westlie Ford in Minot until a career opportunity took him and his family to the Twin Cities in 1967 where he worked for the next 34 years at Tousley Ford, retiring in 2001 as the Service Coordinator. In March, 2002, he had enough of Minnesota winters and purchased a winter home in Parker, AZ. In his younger days, he loved to travel and snowmobile. Known as "The Wild Frenchman", he was always up for a good conversation no matter who you were and readily offered a cold beer upon request. He was well loved by everyone who knew him.
In his later years, he occupied his time by occasional trips to the casinos in Laughlin, brisk walks in the Arizona deserts, hoping for that Super Bowl win by the Minnesota Vikings and spending quality time with his grandchildren attending their school activities and athletic games. He always enjoyed watching a rousing episode of "The Price Is Right" on T.V., or his most beloved show…Gunsmoke A cowboy at heart, he disdained wearing a tie in favor of a nice western shirt and boots.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN on Monday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Service will be livestreamed here: https://youtu.be/_Wa1oaM76Ko
