Bradley M. Barr

Bradley Michael Barr, age 73, passed away at home on May 2nd, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 20th, 1951 in Cloquet, Minnesota, he was one of four children of Martin Barr Jr. and Joyce E. (Larson) Barr.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in teaching and later earned his Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in 1992. Brad dedicated his time to faith, community and service, working as a Lutheran pastor from 1993 until his retirement in 2018. A gifted communicator and educator, he was known for his compelling preaching, insightful writing and deep passion for teaching as a way to inspire others.

As an avid outdoorsman, Brad found great joy in deer hunting, fishing, yard work and being out on the water. He was passionate about creatively gathering people together, sharing stories and laughter, spending time with family, and enjoying pastimes like watching sports, reading books and all things classic Disney.

Brad is survived by his wife Amy N. Barr, son Nick (Heidi) Barr, daughter Julia (Kyle) LeNeau, granddaughter Eva Barr, and sisters Jennifer (Randy) Rimstad, Brenda Barr, and Janice (Scott) Montgomery.
