My husband got to know Bob at North Oaks Golf Club on his morning and evening walks with our dog. His wit and wisdom are something we have enjoyed in our 14 years living in North Oaks. This tribute published in the NOGC monthly newsletter in April, congratulating him on his retirement, says it all. RIP Bob.
Our deepest sympathy. The members, Board of Directors, and staff at North Oaks Golf Club.
Char,Sending our deepest sympathy on the loss of your brothers Bob and Randy. From your friends at ECSI
I’m going to miss you Wops. I’ll always remember you, Ron and me driving around Vadnais knocking over signs. Last time I saw you, we drove around your yard in the golf cart, throwing the balls around for the dogs. Had a few beers reminisced of old times. I wish I would have stopped over more often. It was nice to have you as my neighbor.
I met Wops in the mid 1970s working together at North Oaks GC on the grounds crew. Bob was a special and unique man whose friendship I will cherish always. I will be raising a PBR or two in his memory and honor this weekend. The golf course in heaven just gained a valued servant, and a it will be a whole lot more fun for those privileged to be there working on it (including our co-workers Dick, Jim, Tony and others). Fly high Free Bird!
Our hearts go out to you with the loss of Bob. He was a good man and a hard worker. He has left us way to soon. Wish we could be there with you but know we are there in spirit. We Love all you guys take care Jerry & JoeAnn Pace
My heart breaks for the Wappula family. The loss of bothers Randy and Bob are to much to take.
Bob and Rich were always there watching over the girls, Sue, Nanette, Cheryl & myself. You probably saved our asses more then any of us realized. Thank you! You were a wonderful friend and it was my fortune to have that friendship. I’ll always cherish all the times you me and Rich went out for dinner at Ricci’s, or to a movie where we’d sneak in some Pabst or just hanging out.
Us Kaiser’s are grateful to have been friends and grown up together with The Wappula’s!
Love you dude,
Cathy
Bob Wappula was a classmate of my! Boy oh boy! He loved his social life! At least that’s what I remember! Always had a smile on his face! And I just remember his kindness! Always willing to have a good time! That picture of him! He hadn’t change at all! What a sad lost! My prayers are going out to all of his family! And a huge family at that! Peace to all of y’all!
