Joe grew up on a family farm, south of Forest Lake, now Columbus MN. Later he sold insurance, developed his own property and raised stock muskellunge. During mid-life, he became involved in politics and found a voice for property owners, protecting their 5th amendment rights. In retirement, he and his wife Dody, navigated a 64’ yacht over 8000 miles from Stillwater MN, down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico, through the Florida Keys, up the Atlantic seaboard, and home - completing the “Great Loop”. Joe will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, warm handshake, easy smile, intelligence, determination, and a quick sense of humor.
A Celebration of Joe’s life 10-12 noon Saturday, February 9th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, Forest Lake.
My deepest sympathy for your loss. May our Heavenly Father Jehovah strengthen you with His promise to swallow up death forever and soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; Isa. 25:8) May His promises also comfort you during this difficult time.
