Age 85 of Mound. Formerly of Forest Lake & St. Paul Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa passed away peacefully following a lengthy battle with cancer with his wife of 63 years by his side. Jerry was born June 6, 1934 in St. Paul, MN to Donald and Olive Kroska. He met the love of his life, Jackie Farah, on a blind date in 1951. After serving in the US Army, Korean War, Jerry and Jackie married and have been inseparable since. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, playing sports (especially hockey) and going out to coffee. The family will always remember his love of God, family, country, the value of hard work and his amazing quick wit. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Naomi; brother-in-law Ralph; nephew, David. Survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Steve (Nami), Jim (Shari Gernandt), Bill (Lisa); daughter, Ann (Brian) Turbeville; grandchildren Alex, Michael, CJ, Mitch, Travis, Matt, Nicole, Eric, Rachel, Sam; nieces, Denise, Sheila, Joann and Mary Kay. A Celebration Mass of Jerry’s life will held at 10 AM Thursday, November 14th at Church of the Assumption, 51 7th Street West, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. Luncheon to follow. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The family would like to thank our Park Nicollet Hospice team, particularly our special nurse, Pam, for your extraordinary care of Jerry, and helping us through this journey.   2. I will never forget the glowing smiles on Jerry & Jackie’s faces when they danced at Sam & Rachel’s wedding! Their deep unconditional love is truly inspiring. He was a genuine joy to all who knew him.
