Jeff Reineccius

jeff reineccius

November 1, 1956 ~ July 23, 2019

Jeff passed away on July 23, 2019 at home, surrounded in love by his wife and children after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and brother, and will be remembered for his tenacity, sense of humor, work ethic, and dedication to his family. Jeff was a union carpenter for Specialty Systems for over 30 years. He enjoyed the camaraderie he shared with his coworkers and fellow carpenters, and approached every project with a sense of pride and dedication. Never one to sit still, Jeff never stopped practicing his trade… even after he was supposed to be retired. Gifted with enviable natural ability, Jeff quickly mastered everything he tried, from woodworking to skiing to sports, and even sewing. This made finding hobbies almost too easy for Jeff, and he enjoyed nearly any activity that allowed him to be outside or working with his hands. He was a passionate outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing, and boating; he was a gifted woodworker, and also enjoyed gardening, working outside, and cheering for (or cursing at) his favorite sports teams. But nothing brought Jeff more pride or joy than his family. His wife, Patty; children, Brandy, Diane, and Brad; and grandchildren Grayson, Addison, Jaden, Sage, Raleigh, and Brooks were his greatest gift. His role as a husband, father, and grandpa was far and away the most important job in Jeff’s life, and one at which he excelled beyond measure. He will be remembered as an incredible friend, colleague, partner, and above all, an amazing family man. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Donna Reineccius and siblings, Cindy, Tim, and Susan Pundt. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty; children Brandy Jo (Mike) Phillips, Diane (Matt) Dodge, Brad (Eva); and six grandchildren; siblings, Mike (Ginger), Keith (Connie), Mark (Kathy), Kevin (Kris), Greg, Sandy (Alan) Moench, Pat (Mike) Evavold, Jeanie (Mike) Weis, and Kristie (Scott) Barthel; in-laws, Roland and Gloria Larson, Laurie (David) Bedford, Lynne (Steve) Toensfeldt, Barb (Greg) Wagner, Roger Pundt, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 27 with visitation beginning at 11:00am at Robert’s Family Life Celebration Home in Forest Lake, MN.
