Tom met the love of his life, Sharon, while working at Woolworths. They married and had two children in Robbinsdale, MN, eventually moving to a hobby farm in Scandia, MN and later settling in Forest Lake, MN. Tom enjoyed fishing with his son. He passed on the importance of responsibility, honesty, and a strong work ethic. Tom was a supportive father and father-in-law always having the best advice from his years of experience. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a father-figure, an advocate, and quick-witted jokester with a knack for telling a good story. He enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and drag races. Most of all he had a passion for helping people in recovery. This passion led to a 14 year post-retirement career at Hazelden.
He was a respected member of Alcoholics Anonymous and used his 41 years of sobriety to sponsor and guide others on their journey. His companionship, guidance, and advice will be deeply missed.
