Peggy D. Fellows

Peggy (Margaret) Doyle Fellows, Age 75, of Gold Canyon, AZ, passed away on March 11, 2026 in Gilbert, AZ.

Preceded in death husband, Ben E. Fellows; parents, Louise & Bernie Doyle; grandparents, Tresa & Owen Doyle,  Benonia & Henry Fonteyn. Survived by step-children, Patti (Michael) Lindberg, Jim (Jennifer) Fellows; grandchildren, Andrew (Paulina) Lindberg , Joseph Lindberg

She was born in Marshall, MN, on September 2, 1950. Peggy and Ben were married on June 2, 1979, and shared 44 years of marriage until Ben’s passing on February 22, 2024.

Peggy earned her teaching degree from the University of Minnesota and dedicated many years to education. She served as a substitute teacher at several Catholic schools, including Holy Childhood School in St. Paul, and taught elementary school at St. Peter’s Catholic School for many years. Notably, Peggy developed the Discovery Club, a before and after school program at St. Peter’s. During the winters, she continued her commitment to service by volunteering at schools in Mesa and Apache Junction, Arizona.

The couple lived on Forest Lake for many years, first on the third lake and later moving to the second lake. In 2014, they transitioned to Gold Canyon, Arizona, to enjoy the desert sun full-time. Although she missed Forest Lake dearly, Peggy continued to seek out the water, frequently choosing cruises and trips to northern Minnesota that offered beautiful views of lakes, oceans, and rivers.

Peggy loved traveling the world with Ben, visiting multiple countries together. She was an avid genealogy researcher and enjoyed golfing, gardening, and community volunteering. She also cherished weekly card games with dear friends and savoring meals and wine at her favorite restaurants. Peggy was well known for her hospitality, always curating wonderful itineraries for friends and family who visited her in Arizona.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 24^th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at The Church of Saint Peter, Forest Lake.  Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Lakes Life Care, 840 West Broadway, Forest Lake, MN 55025
