Delores "Dee" Laine Koerting

Age 75 of Moose Lake, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2025.

Dee was born on April 7, 1950, in Seattle, Washington, to Kenny and Helen Andrus. The oldest of nine children, Dee naturally grew into the role of caregiver—always soft-spoken, yet steadfast and nurturing. Her gentle hugs and reassuring words became a comfort to everyone who knew her.

Dee began her career as a computer operator at the University of Minnesota. She later devoted herself to raising her children, a role she cherished most deeply. In the later years of her working life, Dee was a school bus driver.

On October 14, 1972, Dee married the love of her life, Kert. Together they started a family and raised three children. Dee was a loving mother and a devoted wife, providing a safe and caring home for her family. Dee was baptized on November 24, 1974 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She found great joy in sharing her hope for the future and faith with others. She loved her heavenly Father, Jehovah, dearly.

Family was the center of Dee’s world. She had a generous heart, always putting others before herself, and she will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister and loving daughter. Those who knew her will forever hold close the memory of her kindness, her quiet strength, and the way she made every person feel loved. Dee liked quilting and knitting, cooking and horses.

Preceded in death by father, Kenneth Andrus. Survived by loving husband, Kert; children, Jason (Paula) of Rockford MN, Doug (Renee) of Moose Lake MN, Tana (Scott) Wahtola of Minnetrista MN; grandchildren, Owen, Hannah, Iris, Davin, Kai; mother, Helen Andrus of Oakes ND; sisters, JoAnn Loepp of Oakes ND, Janice (Ron) Chalmers of Piqua OH, Shirley (Randy) Bishop of Oakes ND, Theresa Andrus of Minneapolis MN, Sharon Andrus of Brown Deer WI; brothers, Doug (Karen) of Piqua OH, Earl Andrus of Verona ND, and John (Kelly) Andrus of Oakes ND; she also has several nieces and nephews who will miss her.

Memorial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 1st with visitation at 10 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. 

Private interment at Glover Cemetery in Glover, ND on November 8th.
