December 6, 1959 ~ July 30, 2025

Age 65 of Chisago City. Loving Wife, Mom, Daughter, Grandma, Sister passed peacefully on July 30, 2025 surrounded by family following courageous battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by mother, Jan Kern; granddaughter, Vienna Vogel; niece, Christina Kern; father-in-law, Arthur.

Survived by husband of 41 years, Art; children, Jessica (Mark) Vogel, Arthur III (Christie); father, Eugene Kern; grandchildren, Warren & Kinsley Vogel; siblings, Bill Kern, Don (Nancy) Kern, Allen Kern, Connie (George) Tessmer; mother-in-law, Beverly; brother & sisters-in-law, Steve, Cindy (Jim), Kathy (Tom) Running; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cindy was raised in Centerville & North St. Paul, where she was known as a good athlete, especially in softball. She was also a wonderful cook and an avid reader. Her impressive shoe collection was something to envy! Cindy loved camping with family and friends, but above all, family was the most important thing in her life and her enduring legacy.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, August 28th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Saint John’s Catholic Church, Little Canada.  Cindy’s celebration will continue with a reception immediately following Mass at Vadnais Commons, Vadnais Heights.  Memorials preferred to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

  1. I will miss my cousin deeply. She was a wonderful person. I remember when we were younger we would play for hours at our grandparents home in pine center Minnesota. Hugs to all and continue prayers to all.
