Age 65 of Forest Lake. Passed away on July 24, 2025.

Preceded in death by wife, Lana “Jeanie”; father, William. Survived by mother, Jo Anne; siblings, Jeffrey (Janet), John (Barbara), Daniel (Jenny), William (Lori), James (Tiffany), Carrie (Bruce) Johnson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Mike was born in St. Paul. He was raised in Forest Lake and lived there for the remainder of his life. He was affectionately known as “MPH” (Miles Per Hour).

Mike’s life will be celebrated with a gathering from 5-7 PM Thursday, July 31^st at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Private interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gift donations be made to the Mayo Clinic. Memorials can be made online at www.mayoclinic.org/development or mailed to Department of Development, Mayo Clinic, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55095.

For several years, Mike was a customer of mine at the Sewing Room. He was so delightful and funny. I was always amused that he proclaimed to only wear shorts – all year! He only recently told me that he had some pants to hem.
