Stanley David "Stuntz" Hill

August 13, 1951 ~ December 16, 2018
Age 67 of Blaine. Preceded in death by adoptive father, Stanley Hill & biological father, Wilmar Lemm; mother, Dorothy Hill; brother, Bill Lemm. Survived by wife of 24 years, Judy Hill; sisters, Sharon Lemm, Andrea Wiggins; brother, Cliffton (Sharon) Hill; very special friends, Dennis & Carol Ann Tollers and sons, Mike & Maryls Ptacek, Bonnie Lamotte, Carrie Smith, & many others whom he considered family.
Stuntz died in his home of natural causes after a hospital stay. He was beset with numerous significant health problems much of his adult life. He worked hard as a pipefitter with Local Union 455 for most of his life. He loved life as much as any man, and loved his family and friends even more. He was known for his incessant humor, and all one had to do was mention fishing and the conversation quickly became one-sided. He was a music buff and a collector of more “treasures” than we could ever list here. He would want us all to now celebrate and not mourn.
A Celebration of Stuntz’s life 11 AM Saturday, December 29th with visitation one hour prior at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake.
Cliff and family , we are so sorry for your loss. Stunz was one of my best friends, and was always there to help me out throughout the storms of life. He was one of a kind, and had such a kind heart! He is my daughter’s godfather , and was a perfect role model for her and my son and granddaughter , as they grew up . We are going to all miss you very much. RIP my freind. 🙁 See you again someday Im sure up there in the heavens.
Stuntz was a kind soul. I dated him for several years and almost married him before having a falling out. It was a difficult situation for both of us. Judy, you had a good man. I know many will miss him including me. I will always remember the beautiful Victorian dollhouse he put together for my daughter. He was maticulous about everything he did. Going to miss you sweetie. Love, Angie.
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Stanley’s military service to our country.
He was a father to me! He called me daughter and I called him my Pappy. Even though he had no children of his own, his legacy lives on through us god children and our siblings. Be at peace Pappy and may you have all the popcorn mountain dew and m&m’s you desire.
Stunts was an amazing soul He will truly be missed by my family and many others fly high stunts & catch a big one in heaven.
Stuntz was a great man. The first memory I remember is his tiny house on Minnehaha, but he loved that house, going to International Falls, MN for hunting. Also Fishing on his pontoon boat. He always loved the outdoors. Always had the right thing to say, even if it wasn’t always appropriate… LOL. He was always kind hearted, loved on our daughter’s, and took care of his wife and family.
This is such a loss to Dennis, Carolann, and our kids, Kevin, Keith and Jason. Dennis and Stuntz have been friends since grade school. In high school cruising up and down lake street from one Porky’s to the other Porky’s. Riding their bikes right up to the airport terminal. Fishing at the river. Stuntz was our best man at our wedding. Many good times together after that with our friends. He was always great with the kids as they grew up. He was like family joining us with Judy at many family functions Stuntz and Jason became fishing buddy’s summer and winter. They may have kept each other out of trouble (ha ha). Good bye good and treasured friend. Dennis and Carolann
I will always remember fishing in the pontoon, ice fishing tournaments, and all of the joking around that happened with Stuntz. He was always cracking jokes and trying to make people laugh. It was always a fun time listening to him and Jason swapping fishing stories and learning from each other. Miss you already, Stuntz!
