Tough to find the words to properly share how much I appreciated George. I am truly blessed to have been George’s son in law, business partner, and most importantly his friend. Big void I will try to fill with all the life lessons he taught me, as well as the many great memories. I will carry on as George taught me to do, and as his favorite quote states from Winston Churchill “Sometimes it’s not enough to do your best, you must do what is required”! So on we will go and I will work every day to honor George and live my life to the fullest, in business and most importantly being the best husband, father, and Grandfather I can. I love you George, Rest in Peace my friend!
Dear Karen and Halverson girls, Sending condolences on the loss of both your mom and dad. I think back to the many years in Birchwood when they always welcomed me into their home and cabin. Remember mowing the yard before we could do anything fun? He had the first Mercedes I ever saw and let me use the white Camaro for my drivers license test. hoping your many wonderful memories bring you peace during this time of grief. Linda DeWitte
My deep condolences to Jodie, Michele, Karen and Shannon and families in the loss of their father and mother. The Halversons were our neighbors on Buckbee Road for many years. George was a devoted husband and father and a genuine sincere person who inspired others by his example. He really cared about people and his volunteer service on the city council and the Jaycees was an important investment in the community. I know he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. May he rest in peace with his dear wife Ann.
Our sincere condolences to the Halvorson family. Back in the 60’s in Brainerd, the Halvorsons and Henkemeyers were like brothers and sisters. God bless you all.

Q: Describe where George worked and what they did
A: I first met George in Jaycees. Wrote insurance for George when he and Jerry Nelson started Excel Dental Studios. George persuaded me to join him and Jerry to help them expand their business. I gladly joined them and worked for them for six years. Must admit It was the most fun I had working in my business career. I had many fond memories. Also enjoyed coaching George and Ann’s daughter Jodie in White Bear Lake’s first girls’ slow pitch softball league. God Bless George and Ann and the Halverson Family.
Love, Bob Pagel
I am so sorry to hear about George and Anne. We met George and Anne when my husband Louie Morelli was in a transitional care unit. George befriended Louie and Louie thought the world of George. They were the sweetest couple, George was such a gentleman and he came to see Louie in hospice. He shared so many wonderful things about Louie in the short time he knew him. I was able to visit with the two of them last summer. My prayers go to your family. Jammie Morelli
