  1. May perpetual life shine upon Doug, and may he rest in peace, Amen.
Doug loved Jenny, his sons and their wives and his grandchildren. Doug was a Navy veteran and proud to serve his country. Thank you Doug. There is a SALUTE Veterans Day magazine printed in the North Country that lists many of the veterans from Jen’s family. Doug was proud to be listed with picture, years of service and branch of armed forces in magazine.
He also liked to talk about the farm he grew up on and worked hard.
    Rest in peace Doug,
    Karen and Mike Bolz

  2. On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Doug’s military service to our country in the Navy.

  3. Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Doug?

A: I only knew Doug a short time through work. He was a kind and gentle man. Every week he would come by my office and talk about his family, politics, what was good or bad about getting old and we would laugh. He had a great attitude and a beautiful spirit. Doug was very proud of his family and the love he had for them was strong. He was also proud of the time he served in the military. I will miss Doug and will remember many of his great stories. Prayers for his wife and children and hope they find peace in the family memories of many years gone by. – Cavalene
